Come learn to play sled hockey! Our adaptive clinic is Wednesday, January 17th, from 11:30am-1:30pm at Glacier Ice Rink in Missoula. We have plenty of sleds for participants to use, and this event is free. The Griz Hockey team will be helping us learn some basic skills and handling on the ice.

Participants can register here by Tuesday, January 16th and/or reach out to us with any questions.

MARS can supply helmets, gloves, sleds, sticks, pucks, and volunteers. Please bring warm, comfortable clothes and any necessary assistive devices or caregivers – you are welcome to bring your own hockey equipment if you’d like. This clinic is open to all ages, all disabilities, and all levels of familiarity with sled hockey. This is a welcoming space for all members of the disability community, friends, and family – the goal is to have fun and learn something new!

We understand that a week day clinic can be hard to attend, and hope that your lunch break happens to coincide!

Estimated agenda –
11:30am: Participants arrive
11:35am-12:00pm: Introduction, overview of equipment, getting participants setup in sleds
12:00pm – 12:30pm: Getting used to the sleds on ice/maneuvering
12:30pm – 1:30pm: Basic skills & drills
This clinic will not involve contact/checking.

Thanks to Hockey Lacrosse Wolf for sponsoring our ice time to make the event free, and to the Griz Hockey team for volunteering their expertise!

P.S. Don’t forget to stop by our Pint Night fundraiser at Imagine Nation Brewing next Wednesday, Jan 10 to say hi!
