Here in Lake County since the big celebration in July of the ADA 20th anniversary, we have held a luncheon. The luncheon’s purpose was to introduce Summit Independent Living Center to agencies and residents of the Flathead Indian Reservation. The luncheon was very well attended.

Friday the 24th of September we hosted our first LEAD ON workshop with the help of Mary Olson and Mike Beers.

Also, starting in October, we will be starting our second Living Well with a Disability workshop at SKC. The class will run through December. We also had an opportunity to attend SKC’s “new student orientation” and we were able to introduce the independent living philosophy to the new SKC president. She says she wants to strengthen SKC’s disability services throughout all departments.
