How to communicate with doctors when you become non-verbal?

Postby ShelbyinMT » Wed Oct 26, 2016 9:47 pm

Hiya,

As a person who experiences panic attacks that leave me unable to communicate clearly, I find it tough to explain to doctors my background, symptoms, and needs. Unfortunately, this happens when i need help the most, and the time when I need to be clear the most. Anyone out there found good workarounds for verbal disabilities? I usually opt for email, but my last episode became a full blown emergency due, in part, to a communication breakdown in the email system. Thanks for your advice!
