Mary Dalton – SDPAS Assistant

Mary Dalton from Missoula, MT has been hired as Summit’s new clerical assistant to help with various duties in the Self Directed Personal Assistant Services Program.  Mary will be working in a part-time position with Lorna Palin and Mike Giddings.  Mary began her career as a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) at Riverside Health Care.  During the past 10 years she has worked in various positions in the community serving older adults and people with disabilities.  This includes her current position as a social worker coordinating the respite, homemaker and senior companion programs for Missoula Aging Services.

Mary moved to Missoula from her hometown of Jackson, WY in the ’80s.  After raising her family she returned to school and earned her Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Montana.  Mary enjoys spending time with her 3 adult children and 2 granddaughters.  Most weekends will find her out hiking in the mountains and her goal this summer is to summit Trapper Peak, the highest peak in the Bitterroot Range.  Her hobbies include scrapbooking and cross-stitch.  She is also an active member of Toastmasters.
